CARMCORN.TXT H-1 CARAMEL CORN 4 1/2 qt popped corn 1/4 cup karo syrup 1/2 cup melted butter 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 cup brown sugar 1/8 tsp baking soda 1. Melt butter in a 2 qt saucepan. 2. Add brown sugar and karo. Cook 5 minutes (no more) stirring often. 3. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and baking soda. 4. Pour over popcorn and mix well. 5. Put mix in a cake or baking pan in a 250 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. SPICENUT.TXT SPICED NUTS 1 Tbs egg white 1/4 cup sugar 2 cups pecan halves 1 Tbs cinnamon 1. Heat oven to 300 degrees. 2. Mix egg white and pecans until pecans are coated and sticky. 3. Mix sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the nuts, stirring until sugar mix completely coats the nuts. 4. Spread on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes.
