SBERYJAM.TXT STRAWBERRY JAM (Leigha) 2 cups crushed strawberries 4 cups sugar (1 quart ripe berries) 1 box sure jel pectin 3/4 cup water 1. Mix thoroughly strawberries and sugar in a large bowl. Let stand 10 min stirring occasionally. 2. In a small saucepan, mix pectin and water. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Continue boiling and stirring for 1 minute. 3. Stir pectin mix into fruit mix, stirring 3 min. 4. Fill containers to 1/2 inch from top. Cover the containers. 5. Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours. Jam is now ready. Makes about 5 1 cup containers. Store in refrigerator or freeze.
